DAPHNE RECREATION DEPARTMENT ATHLETICS

Welcome to the Daphne Recreation Department's sports information website.  Most of the programs listed on this website are sponsored by the Daphne Recreation Department.  You can find more information regarding a specific topic by clicking on the page listed to the left.  Each link will give you more indepth information regarding that specific topic. 

The Daphne Recreation Department currently offers many different youth sports as well as a variety of adult softball leagues.  The youth sports sponsored by the Daphne Recreation Department include:  soccer, football, cheerleading, girls softball, and 13-16 year old baseball for boys.  The Daphne Recreation Department also offers the following adult softball leagues:  Men's Church League, Women's Church/Open League, Summer Men's Open League, Summer Coed League, Fall Coed League, and Winter Men's Open League. 

The Youth basketball program is operated by the Bounds Family YMCA in Daphne.  You can contact the Bounds Family YMCA at 626-0888 for more information regarding youth basketball.  Their league usually starts in November.  There are also several churches in the Daphne/Spanish Fort area who are sponsoring an UPWARD basketball/cheerleading program.  Daphne United Methodist and Faith Family Fellowship are two of those churches and you can contact them for more information regarding the UPWARD basketball/cheerleading program.

Youth Baseball (ages 5-12) is operated by the Daphne Dixie Youth Organization.  The Daphne Dixie Youth Organization is a group of volunteers who handle all of the organization of youth baseball for children ages 5-12.  They usually take registration in late January. Signs will be placed around Lott Park close to the time of registration with specific dates and times. 

You can call either of these numbers after 4:00 pm on game days for the status of games to be played that night.
